Self Description:

NEF works on economic, social and environmental issues through a mixture of practical pilot projects and tools for change, in-depth research, campaigning, policy discussion, and raising awareness through the media and publications. We also incubate new organisations and campaigns that can create long-term change in society. We currently have three 'hot topics': international economics and markets: nef aims to expose the problems with the international finance and economic systems and create appropriate remedies democracy: The current models of representative democracy are not working. They have aleinated people from the political process and contributed to the poor policy design and implementation. local economic renewal: Creating balance between local and global economies will help to increase individual well-being, reduce inequality and promote environmental sustainability (from new economics foundation website).

Reformist--creation of economic alternatives and policies.

 

Who is the Enemy:

Capitalist governments and thier unfair policies

 

Tactics:

Non-violent, non-branded tactics aimed at creating economic alternatives as well as the crtique of current economic practices.
